New Release ~ Cool Off

I joined an anthology recently, and it’s hit the stores! Right now it’s available everywhere, but soon it will go into Kindle Unlimited, but it’s only going to stay there for a limited time before it’s gone forever, so get your copies now!

Maybe you shouldn’t stare at a deliciously handsome man when he walks by you on the beach… but it’s a vacation, and summer. Doesn’t hurt that you’re single and available.

This anthology is guaranteed to keep you laughing, smiling, and wish you were on the beach enjoying the view. We won’t blame you if you want to binge all the stories because of the sultry plots and sexy heroes. Some wear trunks and other speedos… no judgments.

I’ve been crazy busy

six months on the mountain with next to no internet service. Home now and settling back into the routine here. I am working on NaNo this year. Don’t ask how I’m doing unless you want to hear how behind I am.

I just spent 5 days in Las Vegas for the 20booksVegas convention. It was great, I’ll definitely go back next year.

In case you haven’t noticed. I’ve been writing and releasing like a mad woman. I plan to do more of the same over the next year.

I know I’ve been gone forever, and I plan to do better from here on out. What would you like to see from me?

Family Camping Trip 2017

Every summer my mom, my uncle, my sister and her kids, and me and my kids all go on a joint “camping” trip. To date we’ve gone to a camp grounds RIGHT outside of a town, which lets us run in for groceries and whatever we need very easily. The advantages of it are that we’re spending time together, and it’s WAY cooler than at home (highs at 90 instead of 115 for me!)

We had a great time, the kids got to spend time with their cousins and I had a week away from the heat as well as time to unwind and let my brain relax.

But now I’m home and it’s time to get back to work. Time to finish Redeemed by Desire and get it off to my editor, time to format Revealed by Desire and get it uploaded for it’s release in a few weeks. Time to take kid 3 school uniform shopping, since he starts the new middle school in a couple weeks.

How has your summer been?

Where has the last month gone?

I’m not entirely sure but I’ve been busy!

I picked up a part time job, this one from home and not nearly as demanding as the last one, which leaves me with more time to write and do all those author related things.

Oh, the Kentucky Derby was in there too, I went to Rillito Race Track in Tucson and worked that.

I’ve sent Revealed by Desire off to the editor, and gotten Ruger back (which is all submitted and ready for release next week!! YAY!!) I’m working on Redeemed by Desire and I’ve formatted and uploaded the finals of Released by Desire to all platforms, so it’s ready for it’s release in July. Oh, let’s not forget, I’m also working on the basic outlines for the next WMC book and the next Demented Souls book.

I’m planning my family party for my birthday next week (it’s a pool party at my moms,) a trip for some of the kids and my old man next month and my family camping trip in July… oh, have I mentioned that the old man is taking me to Hawaii for our 20th anniversary? That will be this year too… and it’s one more thing I’m working on planning.

I know there’s been more going on here but I’m afraid to think to hard because I’m already freaking out over too much. I’ll get through it, I always do.

What are you up to?

Wow, how is it mid-December already?

Between NaNoWriMo and holidays time has slipped away from me.

I’m working on getting ready for a family trip, as well as (okay, I admit it, slowly) working on fixing the mess I made out of my NaNo project. Somehow I managed to make a 30k word project take up more than 50k. How? By changing things in the middle and rewriting scenes with out going back and removing the wrong stuff. Now I’ve got to do that. It’s not what I want to do… I want to binge watch Bones… but it must get done so here I go.

It is here…

NaNoWriMo has begun. Are you participating?

This is my eighth year, and yes, I’m participating, as well as working as a Municipal Liaison.

So far, things are going well, and I hope you will join us, it’s not too late, just jump in and get going.

Busy busy week

Not only has this been the second week back to school for one of my kids, it’s also the first week back for two of them. On top of that my oldest, the only one with a driver’s license (who doesn’t start school for another 10 days) has been out of town visiting family, and the old man has been out of town on business. So, I’ve been playing single parent and doing ALL the running around. Shopping (I haven’t done much shopping since the oldest got her driver’s license!) back and forth to school, etc. And I’ve managed to get quiet a bit done on Ruger as well. I’m also working on details for my next, and currently super secret project, as well as slowly, in the back of my mind, working out some of the details to the next WMC novel. (Who do you think the next WMC book should be about?)

I’m not saying it’s not been a productive week, just hectic. How has your week gone?

Home from Camping and Hard at Work

I managed to farm out 2 of my remaining kids (my niece is visiting her sister) for the next week and all I’m left with is the one that drives. This frees me up for a lot of work time. I can send her to the store and make her do most of my shopping.

The other plus side is, I don’t have to leave the house in the extreme heat we’re having! YAY! I am getting a bit of work done, not as much as I managed in  Vegas but a good deal.

I’m seriously considering doing Camp NaNo next month so I can finish this draft. I’m getting there, I’m roughly 3/4 finished… and I’d love to get it done by the time the niece gets home mid-July. Yes, I have something else in the works for once this gets done!

Busy busy and still writing.

So much going on! I foresee lots of multi tasking in my future.  I had to catch up with my friends and Facebook this morning while I ate, even now I’m writing this while soaking my sore legs and feet in hot water to help the soreness.
On the plus side though, Camp NaNo is going well, I’m not as ahead as I would like to be, but I’m not behind either. Things are cruising along for my soon to be graduate. The shoes she ordered for prom fit, and look as great as she hoped, her jewelry will be here in a couple days, all is good.

I have just one request though,  can I get more hours in the day to get it all done?

NaNoWriMo ‘15 Week 1

Nearly a week into NaNoWriMo ‘15 I’m not doing great. My back has been giving me fits for three weeks now, and I’ve been going to the chiropractor since early this week. I am finally getting better but I’m still pretty sore and not sleeping all that well. Earlier this week I was doing my best to function on only 3 hours sleep. Now I’m doing better but it’s a slow climb. My story is good, I’m just having a hard tuning into my characters. I’m sure it’s more than a little bit due to the lack of sleep and the crazy busy schedule we’ve had over the last week. I’m hoping that some good rest and a calmer schedule will help me get some extra work done over the weekend and into next week.

How is your NaNo going?
