I read several of these years ago when they were first coming out and I enjoyed them… I waited as a couple more came out and read them when they did, then life got in the way. I had other things going on, other books, kids, you know how it is.
Then I started writing.
I don’t have nearly as much time to read as I did before I was writing.
But over the last couple of weeks, I’ve spent a good chunk of time in the car as I got the old man ready for deployment, so I borrowed the entire Hollows series from my library and listened to it. All the way through, even the one that just came out this year.
I still love them. I still love the characters, the storylines and the imagery. I still miss Kisten and laugh out loud over Jenks. There are moments I want to pull Al into a hug and tell him it will be okay. There are moments I want to smack Trent and tell him he’s come a long way but there are some things he still needs to fix about himself.
Do I recommend the series? Yes. 100%. Go read them. They are amazing.
I joined an anthology recently, and it’s hit the stores! Right now it’s available everywhere, but soon it will go into Kindle Unlimited, but it’s only going to stay there for a limited time before it’s gone forever, so get your copies now!
Maybe you shouldn’t stare at a deliciously handsome man when he walks by you on the beach… but it’s a vacation, and summer. Doesn’t hurt that you’re single and available.
This anthology is guaranteed to keep you laughing, smiling, and wish you were on the beach enjoying the view. We won’t blame you if you want to binge all the stories because of the sultry plots and sexy heroes. Some wear trunks and other speedos… no judgments.

I recently went to work from home, so my ‘reading’ aka audiobook time has been dramatically cut (but hey, it’s meant way more time for writing) but I made a trip over the weekend where I got in a couple books (I listen at 2.5x speed, so they go faster) The best one was Overcome by Lora Leigh.
This is actually three novellas in the Breed series. I had read all three before but the audio versions added a depth to the stories that hadn’t been there before. I really enjoyed them. If you get a chance, pick it up!
The full title of this is Empire of the Summer Sun, Quanah Parker and the Rise and Fall of the Comanche Nation.
I borrowed this from my local library on a whim. I was looking for some thing new to listen to on the way back and forth to work and this caught my eye.
That said, I loved it.
A lot of the verbiage was dated to the era of the person who’s words were being used, often from the early to mid-nineteenth century. But the story was amazing and very informative.
I’ve always been into history and this was one I enjoyed.
This week I ‘read’ Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon.
My rating is 3 out of 5.
It was a decent story, though much of it was very far fetched (but let’s face it, it’s an alien smut romance, I never expected it to be believable.)
So suspension of disbelief aside, Ice Planet Barbarians was enjoyable but not a can’t put it down romance. It’s the start of a series that I don’t feel driven to read the next book of. In my opinion, it’s one of the major things that keep it from being rated better. It’s just not gripping enough to keep me reading once I’ve finished this story.
Stay tuned for the next installment.
How much do we love you?

six months on the mountain with next to no internet service. Home now and settling back into the routine here. I am working on NaNo this year. Don’t ask how I’m doing unless you want to hear how behind I am.
I just spent 5 days in Las Vegas for the 20booksVegas convention. It was great, I’ll definitely go back next year.
In case you haven’t noticed. I’ve been writing and releasing like a mad woman. I plan to do more of the same over the next year.
I know I’ve been gone forever, and I plan to do better from here on out. What would you like to see from me?
Here’s the series that Billionaire Bachlor: Justin will be part of. I’m excited to work with Lily on this!
