Nothing really thrilling here, other than working hard at my second revision. It’s going well. I’ve finished about 80 pages in three days, not a bad showing. I’m totally exhausted so I’m going to crash soon. I was up way too late last night working. That didn’t keep me from having to get up and take kids to school. I tried to nap twice today, neither worked out. It’s probably going to take about 2.7 seconds for me to fall asleep tonight.

2015 Week 2.

I finished the first rewrite of my current project a couple weeks ago, now I’m working on the second go-round and I’m eyeball deep. It’s going well, but it’s absorbing.
The kids went back to school today after the weekend. I thought the weekend was gonna make me crazy. Not sure why this one seemed so long… It’s gonna be an even longer one next week with the holiday *sigh*
I did make a special stop at the dollar store today to get some candles.. It’s really odd, I know, but I’ve discovered I work better when I have a candle burning in my line of view while I work. I don’t know why but if it works why argue with it?

The First Week

I’m still working on this rewrite, but it’s going well. I have a couple scenes I need to add and yesterday I had to do a total rewrite of another. This is my first rewrite of this story so there is a lot to fix. I’m sure I’ll go through this thing at least a half dozen more times before it’s done. But each one will be faster than the last and it will be better for all the work.
I have a couple more revisions to make, but before too much longer I’ll be ready for some beta readers, is there anyone out there who wants to do that for me? Just use the Contact Me page above and let me know. I’ll choose several when the time is right.
2014 is nearly behind us,

As for me I was looking at the calendar this afternoon and realized that I have several goals for the next year… I don’t make resolutions, I set goals, so here we are…
- Publish at least one book, possibly two.
- Be more healthy / Lose weight (I’ve already started, I’m spending time on the treadmill every day and I’m cutting my sugar intake)
- Attend Tucson Festival of Books
- Spend time with my family (we have 3 family trips planned this coming year)
What are your plans for 2015?

NaNoWriMo ‘14 Day 13

NaNoWriMo ‘14 Day 8

I am getting a little bit done each day, and I’m not falling behind of the recommended milestones, but I’m not making the two thousand words I like to get each day. I’m sure I’ll be better able to catch up some once people go back to school, but that won’t be till Wednesday for some of them.
NaNoWriMo ‘14 Day 6

I’m still a couple days ahead, which makes me happy.

And it’s not yet noon. I have several things to do this afternoon (like Writing Group and picking up kids…) but I hope to increase my word count even more this evening.
