Book pages everywhere should be updated soon, that means anywhere from 12 hrs to a couple of weeks, depending on each server.
They came in late last week.
I’m still jumping for joy! The other half watched me dance around the house hugging them, he thought I had lost my mind. He just doesn’t understand.
Either way, you can get both Change and Fight in paperback too! They’re both available through Amazon and Createspace (I’m working on getting them out to a wider audience but it’s going to mean raising the price, and I’m not ready to do that.) The links to purchase are on each books page, on the right. –>
If you want signed copies, use the contact me link on the About Melissa page and we’ll work something out.
After all the time, the writing, rewriting, the editing and cover design, it’s finally here! Today is the day, FIGHT, the second book of the Kitsune, is available!! It’s not everywhere yet, but it will be soon. Purchase links can be found on FIGHT’s page, it will be updated with new links as soon as it goes live on each site.
I’ve worked hard over the last few weeks to get to tomorrow. And now that it’s so close, I just want to be able to focus on something else. FIGHT will be released tomorrow. And while I hope you wall will like it, there’s nothing I can do to about that now.
FIGHT is done. I’ve released it out into the world for others to enjoy and I’ve moved on. I know, it sounds callous, but if I don’t move on, how will anyone find out what happens next? I’m already hip deep in the next book in the series. I’ve been working on getting Nickie to tell me what happened next. We were going great until the copy edits came back for FIGHT. Now I have to get back in the mindset and actually hear her talking to me again.
In the mean time, I’ve been playing with another concept. We’ll see if it goes anywhere before I tell you too much about it, but I will tell you that so far, I think it’s a pretty good one.
I’ve finished the edits to Change. Yes, I’ve done them more than once, but I’ve found there were still a lot of issues in it, so I had it redone. The ebooks will be updated in the next few days, and I’m working on a paperback edition of the same book!!
I’ve got it mostly done, but these things take time. I will however reveal the cover for the paperback edition of Change, when my Facebook Page reaches 50 likes! Get to sharing and we’ll soon see the cover!
As for Fight, I’m still working on those edits, however I’m hoping to be able to set things up so that the ebook edition and the paperback edition come out at the same time! The cover to that one’s not done yet, so we’ll have to have another reveal when it is!
Well, my train has officially been de-railed. A day of cleaning and packing, 2 days of travel and a day of recovery and I’m around 8,000 words behind. Could I work hard and catch up? Yes, I could do it. However, in today’s mail I received the copy-edits of Fight, and another for Change. Instead of working to catch up on my Camp NaNo project I’m going to work on getting my edits done.
Getting all the edits done will mean two things. Number one, I can publish Fight, get it out there for those I know are eager to see it. Number two is that I am hoping to get the paper editions ready to go to print. We all want paper copies, right?
So off I go, not to write but to input edits. But in the end it’s still progress. Psst.. How long will it take to do the edits on 2 books?
After pushing to get Fight ready to go to my copy-editors before our annual camping trip, I’m feeling the strain. I emailed out the book yesterday and took a deep, cleansing breath. Then immediately picked up the notebook I’ve already started for book 3. Yeah, I know I should take a break, give my brain something to do other than Nickie’s story but Nickie is just so upfront in my mind right now.
I’m not ready for a break. I picked out the notebook for book 3 about 3 weeks ago (I have a supply of composition books I use for this purpose, most of them have different covers,) about the time I started the last rewrite of Fight. I had to have some place to keep track of the thoughts and ideas for the next book.
Now that I’ve finished with (this stage of) Fight I can get more in depth more intimate with what will happen in the next book. There are some big changes in store for Nickie, she just hasn’t told me yet how she’s going to handle them.
I spent most of yesterday working on updates for the site. You may notice that there’s a new book listed to the right. –>
Fight is due out this summer, though the cover isn’t in yet, and I’m excited to share! I hope you’ll find Fight to be a fitting and entertaining continuation of Nickie’s story.
You can also find a listing for Fight on Goodreads. Add it to your TBR list!
I hit 50 pages edited, I feel good about it. I still have quite a bit to go, but 50 pages for the first day is a great start. I’ll keep at it and soon we’ll have the sequel to Change.
I can only be thankful that I didn’t have a project I was working on, or a deadline I was rushing to make. That disease called the flu but which would be more accurately named Creeping Coughing Crud attack me last week and it took me down hard.
A week later I’m almost over the worst of it. I still have a slight, lingering cough and a bit of a phlegm problem but it no longer makes me break out in a sweat to cross the room, or to move more than 3 feet from where ever I’ve been sitting, and I’m able to sleep flat again. Which means I’m back to sleeping in my own bed, always a plus in my mind.
My kids have just started their spring break, which means I’ll get to start rewrites as soon as school is back, next week. I’m hoping that goes well, and I can get Fight published by the end of the summer.
