What I’m reading ~ Spider Woman’s Daughter

Spider Woman’s Daughter ~ Anne Hillerman

Bernie Manuelito, Navajo Police Officer and wife to officer Jim Chee witnesses a shooting, not of just anyone but to Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn. A man who ‘s been like an Uncle to both her and her husband. She swears to catch the person responsible, and intends to keep her word, but she’s taken off the case and has family responsibilities she must deal with. How can she solve Leaphorn’s shooting while still dealing with her mother and sister?

My ranking? 3 howls.

I liked the extension of her father’s stories, but it wasn’t perfect. There was a lot of unnecessary geographical details that I would have skipped (and I give more than a lot of authors…) I liked the back and forth between Bernie and Chee (even though there was a lot of head hopping, with no obvious marking that you were switching). It was a good story, but could use improvement.
